It has been a busy summer. I just finished teaching in the Bergenfield, NJ Summer Enrichment Program. The Program is 50+ years old and offers Music, Art, Academic and Physical Education programs throughout the month of July. I had the pleasure of teaching bassoon, clarinet, trumpet and a string-flute trio. It’s great to still be active helping young musicians.
In addition, I have been performing with the New Jersey Wind Symphony. As other ensembles, we had not performed in approximately 16 months, so it was great to see old friends and make LIVE music again. We play again this coming Saturday evening at 6:30 PM at the Hague Park in Oradell.

Black and Whte Photography - An Abstract Art Form
Why photograph, print and offer Black and White images using techniques which are 100+ years old? I am asked this quite often, especially when I am photographing scenes in outdoor settings using a large format camera and film. With the introduction of digital photography, many of the “old” methods of photography are not practiced anymore. Photographing and printing in Black and White remains an abstract art form still used by photographic artists worldwide to provide exceptional quality images.
